Getting Started I will share with you my own experiences from my journey of a small 10 gallon tank setup to my newest dream of a 700 gallon (in wall design) reef aquarium. You will find a step by step approach to help you create your dream reef ecosystem, as well as many useful resources to help with any questions.

My goal here at the Home Reef is to help any beginner reef aquarist understand some basic approaches to being a successful reef aquarist while providing expert knowledge from others. The key to being successful is sharing the knowledge from many hobbyists and taking out what works best for you.

I will guide you from the beginning planning stages, to your equipment decisions, to regular maintenance of your system. You will find topics on aquaculture, automation, do it yourself projects, and other reef aquarist tips and photos.

Marine reef systems are my passion and hobby. This site will share with you my experiences from failing as a novice hobbyist, to my new thriving 700 gallon set up. I look forward to helping you create your dream aquarium.
